AISP’s Whitney LeBoeuf talks with Knowledge @ Wharton about the Use of Big Data

Dan at Knowledge @ Wharton’s Business Radio talk show interviews AISP’s Research Associate, Whitney LeBoeuf, about the research she is involved in within Philadelphia, the AISP project, and UPenn’s GSE Child Research Center.  Whitney discusses how government agencies collect administrative data on individuals they serve which can then be harnessed by researchers to create a more cost efficient, more effective government by integrating administrative data.  For example, social services or public education are only aware of the individual they are serving and are completely blind to their experiences within the other social agencies, so researchers are encouraging the use of integrating data from the different agencies to build a bigger picture of the individual.  Access the full interview.
