About the Work

The Health and Demographics Section of the South Carolina Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office makes government better by turning data into information and information into knowledge.

The office works with partners across the state to:
  • Receive, process, distribute, and interpret health, demographic, and census data in South Carolina;
  • Provide approved users access to health, socio-economic and demographic data for planning, intervention and evaluation of programs;
  • Educate policy makers about the availability and appropriate use of this information
  • Form collaborative partnerships with agencies and research groups to carry out special studies and research projects related to health and socio-economic issues in South Carolina.

South Carolina Integrated Data System is hosted by Health and Demographics Section of the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office.
