AISP at APPAM 2019

This year’s Association of Public Policy and Management (APPAM) Fall Research Conference was held in Denver, CO and Rising to the Challenge: Engaging Diverse Perspectives on Issues and Evidence. In keeping with that theme, AISP hosted a roundtable that brought together agency and academic partners from two Network sites– Iowa and Wisconsin—to share their experiences using cross-agency data to inform early childhood policy and practice.

Presenters Hilary Shager and Kristina Trastek discussed how cross-agency data has been used in Wisconsin to better understand educational outcomes for children in out of home care. Iowa presenters Cassandra Dorius and Betsy Richey described how their IDS is being used to inform their Preschool Development Grant needs assessment and to explore two-generational impacts of substance use.

Access the slides from the roundtable, entitled Bridging the Agency-Academic Divide to Integrate Data and Serve “the Whole Child,” here.
