This August, the Washington State Department of Social Health and Services (DSHS) released a report with participation from the Research and Data Analysis Division (RDA). This report, titled Washington State Institutional Review Board, January – December 2012, displays an overview of the Review Board’s organization, membership, and legal documentation during major events in 2012. The Board serves as a designated IRB for Washington local and state agencies. It aims to promote ethical research for these agencies’ clients, patients, and wards of the State to benefit the public and research communities.
